There are several factors that set José L. Piedra apart from other Cuban cigar brands. While the vast majority of tobacco used in Habanos comes from the legendary Vuelta Abajo region, José L. Piedra cigars use tobacco from the Vuelta Arriba region where its founder originally settled. Nearly all of the other 26 brands use Tripa Larga (long filler tobacco) while José L. Piedra uses Tripa Corta (short filler tobacco). These differences provide a wonderful expression of the Havana cigar experience, allowing regular smokers to expand their knowledge and new smokers to start their journey at an amazing price. José L.
