Sancho Panza

In 1848, in a factory at 48 Rue Angilis in Havana, a gentleman named Don Emilio Ohmstead registered a new brand and began to produce cigars. His initial efforts did not pay off well. Around 1898, the company went bankrupt. Something about this name will surely continue to be loved by some important figures in the cigar world, yet just a few years later, before Ramon Allones was sold to Rey del Mundo around 1940. It was during this period that the popularity of Sancho Panza cigars increased significantly - especially in the Spanish market, and thus the brand\'s existence was properly established. Like all other producers, the brand was nationalized by the new revolutionary government in 1960.
